Is the license plate currently available for purchase at local tag offices?
No. We must secure 900 commitments to purchase the license plate before it will be available at local tag offices.
Do I have to wait until my tag renewal date to purchase my tag?
No. You may commit to purchase your Childhood Cancer License Plate today!
Why is it urgent that I commit to purchase a license plate now?
The license plate will not be produced until we receive 900 commitments. The sooner we receive the commitments, the sooner the plates will be produced and the sooner you will receive your plate and start making a difference!
Can I/How do I personalize my Curing Childhood Cancer License Plate?
Yes, you may personalize your license plate. You will be able to do so at your local tag office once you receive your notice that the plates are available. The personalized plate costs $69.00 so you will pay the remaining $44.00 at your local tag office.
How much does it cost to reserve a tag?
$25.00 You will pay the remaining $19.00 at your local tag office once the license plates are available.
How much does the tag cost? How much to renew?
The Curing Childhood Cancer license plate costs $44.00 with $10.00 going to CURE KY Kids, Inc. The personalized plate costs $69.00 with $10.00 going to CURE KY Kids, Inc. The cost to renew the license plate each year is $31.00 with $10.00 going to CURE KY Kids, Inc.
What if I have two vehicles? May I buy a plate for each vehicle?
Yes! We encourage you to purchase the license plate for all of your vehicles, as each purchase will benefit childhood cancer patients in Kentucky. You will simply need to purchase a license plate for each vehicle.
What does the license plate benefit?
$10.00 from each license plate will be used to support research, education efforts and programs at Kentucky’s pediatric cancer centers in addition to funding services that provide support to children with cancer and their families.
When will I actually receive my Curing Childhood Cancer License Plate?
The license plates will be available once we receive the 900 commitments to purchase the license plate. Once you pay your $25.00 to reserve your license plate, you will receive a postcard in the mail notifying you that the plates are available at your local tag office. You will receive your plate when you pay the remaining $19.00 for your plate at your local tag office.

You can help us spread the word about the Curing Childhood Cancer license plate by encouraging all of your friends and family members to purchase a plate for their cars. What happens if we do not secure the 900 commitments?
We will refund your $25.00 if the 900 commitments are not secured.
